Texas Level 4 Security Officer In-Person Class

Starting from January 1, 2024, All level IV training courses must be completed in-person with an on-site instructor approved by the Department.

Special Note:

Affiliation to apply with the State for Level IV License
An applicant for a personal protection officer license must be employed at the time of application to the State for your Level IV License by an investigations company or guard company licensed by the department. You do not have to apply prior to the training and the training certificate is good for two years.

This is a 15 hour class conducted over two consecutive days. This class is held at 407 Gun Club in Argyle Texas

Description:

  • This advanced training program is designed for individuals pursuing certification as Personal Protection Officers (PPOs) in Texas. The course provides specialized instruction in executive protection, threat assessment, risk mitigation, and defensive techniques to ensure the safety and security of clients, including high-profile individuals and at-risk persons.
    • Participants will learn the principles of personal protection, the legal framework governing PPOs in Texas, and the skills required to operate in various security environments. Emphasis is placed on situational awareness, client relationship management, and the ability to respond effectively to threats and emergencies while maintaining professionalism and discretion.

Duration: This is a 15 hour class conducted over two consecutive days. This class is held at 407 Gun Club in Argyle Texas

Eligibility:

Minimum Age: Applicants seeking Personal Protection Officer authorization must be at least 21 years old.

Prerequisites for the class: None, You are not required to already have your Level III license in hand before you begin Level IV training. For more information check out our blog post.
