Thank you for choosing Train Protect Defend for your firearm(s) transfer.

Please review the following Terms & Conditions carefully before shipping any firearm to Train Protect Defend. By shipping a firearm to us, you agree to these terms.

Pre-Shipment Requirements

  • You must complete the firearm transfer request form before any firearm is shipped to our location (whether from a manufacturer, distributor, or another FFL dealer).
  • You are solely responsible for verifying that the firearm you are purchasing is legal for you to own under all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • You must pay the seller 100% of the purchase price before the firearm is shipped to us. Train Protect Defend does not accept firearms shipped Cash on Delivery (COD).
  • Provide us with the shipping tracking number and/or add our email (info@trainprotectdefend.com) to the shipment so we receive real-time updates.

FFL & Shipping Notes

  • We do not provide copies of our FFL to non-FFL holders.
  • Federal law requires you personally to pick up the firearm. No one else may pick it up or complete paperwork on your behalf.

Pickup Procedures

  • Pickup is available by appointment only once the firearm has arrived.
  • We will notify you by phone, email, and/or text when your shipment arrives and will schedule a mutually convenient pickup time.
  • Do not arrive without an appointment — a $15 convenience fee will be charged.
  • Rescheduled appointments require at least 24 hours’ notice, or a $15 convenience fee will apply.
  • No-shows or missed appointments will incur a $25 convenience fee. Re-scheduling is at our discretion.

Storage Fees

  • Firearms must be picked up within 7 days of our receipt notification.
  • After 7 days, a $15 per day storage fee will apply until pickup or return to sender.

Return-to-Sender Policy

  • If you are ineligible for transfer (e.g., background check denial, failure to meet age or identification requirements, or any other legal disqualification), or if you choose not to accept the transfer, or you fail to schedule/receive the firearm within a reasonable period, the firearm will be returned to the original sender/dealer.
  • A $25 return-to-sender fee (plus any applicable shipping costs charged by the carrier) will be applied in these cases. This fee covers handling, administrative processing, and return shipping coordination.

Required Transfer Process (ATF Compliance)

Before releasing the firearm to you, Train Protect Defend will:

  • Provide and have you complete the ATF Form 4473 on-site at the time of pickup (you may not bring or pre-fill this form)
  • Verify your identity with a valid, unexpired Texas-issued photo ID
  • Confirm that your current address matches the address listed on your identification
  • Verify you meet federal age requirements: 18 years or older for long guns (rifles/shotguns) and 21 years or older for handguns (pistols/revolvers)
  • Verify a valid Texas Concealed Handgun License (if applicable) and/or conduct a NICS background check

Liability & Condition

  • Train Protect Defend is not responsible for damaged, lost, or missing items during shipping.
  • All firearms are accepted and transferred “as-is” from the sender/seller. You assume full responsibility for the condition upon receipt.
