Texas Online License to Carry (LTC)
Welcome to the Texas License to Carry (LTC) course introduction! This course is designed to provide you with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely and responsibly carry a handgun in the state of Texas. Whether you’re a first-time gun owner or an experienced shooter, this course will cover essential topics to ensure you understand Texas laws, firearm safety, and proper shooting techniques.

- Upon completion, participants receive a certificate recognized by the Texas DPS.
Module 1 ‐ Laws that relate to weapons and to the use of deadly force
Module 2 ‐ Handgun use and safety, including use of restraint holsters and methods to ensure the secure carrying of openly carried handguns
Module 3 – Non‐violent dispute resolution and situational awareness
Module 4 ‐ Proper storage practices for handguns with an emphasis on storage practices that eliminate the possibility of accidental injury to a child
Shooting Proficiency
Once you successfully complete our online License to Carry (LTC) course, the final step is to demonstrate your shooting proficiency (the required range qualification).
